Changing Lives

Conrad Pawlowski

3x Hall of Famer Conrad Pawlowski’s agency FFL Ventures just issued $300,000 for the first time! Continue reading to learn more about what’s lead to his growth:

Q: How long have you been working with FFL?
A: I’ve been here for 7.5 years.

Q: Recently your agency production has really started to grow, what do you think has lead to that?
A: I think that a lot of the agents have really started to build their own downlines. And I think a big reason for that is all of the momentum around the Integrity partnerships. It’s really increased the belief level of people which has caused them to be more confident in sharing the opportunity.

Q: How have you been able to manage and maintain your high production simultaneously?
A: I’d say I’m still working on figuring out how to perfectly balance those two. I’ve been focusing on trying to get my production done early so that I can have more days during the week to do interviews with new agents.

Q:How important do you think it is for you to keep producing at a high level?
A: I’m a firm believer in what Shawn has said about leading a team which is “Your agents will do half of what you do.” So it’s very important for me to consistently produce at a high level. The other agents on my team have also made this easier for me because they’re showing leadership to their people as well which allows me to focus on my production and the agents that really need my help.

Q: What’s your goal for 2021?
A: My goal is to get my agency to the $1 million mark by the end of the year, and personally I’d like to issue $600,000.

Q: What’s your one piece of advice to an inexperienced agent who’s wondering if FFL would be a good fit for them?
A: I’d say to not overthink anything. We have a system here that works. All you have to do is follow the playbook. Don’t try to recreate a system that is already functioning well and growing very quickly. Follow the instructions and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

Halle Bolin

Halle is a new agent who issued close to $30,000 her first month! Continue reading to learn about her quick start with FFL:

Q: When did you start working with FFL?
A: I started working with FFL close to April 1st of 2021.

Q: What were you doing for work prior to finding FFL?
A: I was working as a stay at home mom.

Q: Did you have any prior sales experience before FFL?
A: Most of my prior experience was working as a server or a waitress. My customer service skills were good but I didn’t have a lot of experience in a real sales environment for a long period of time.

Q: What were your first few weeks out in the field like?
A: They weren’t too bad. I think I was really blessed that I didn’t face a lot of rejection. In fact, the first time someone said no I was really surprised! Lol! So I think that was actually my learning curve, learning to push through people not wanting to buy and learning what to do from there.

Q: Was it difficult for you to purchase leads initially ?
A: I watched all of FFL’s Youtube videos for like two months before starting so I fully understood the importance of purchasing leads. I spent around $900 my first week and I only increased my budget from that point on.

Q: Are you building an agency or focusing on being a solo producer?
A: We’re definitely building an agency! We have around 10 people who are in class right now to get licensed.

Q: What is your goal for 2021?
A: Personally I would like to issue $400,000 and qualify for the Hall of Fame, It makes me nervous to say that but that’s what I’m shooting for. I also just want to hire as many people as possible and share this opportunity so that it can change their lives like it’s changed mine.

Brittni Jarrett

Brittni qualified for the Hall of Fame in 2020 and has already issued $277,863 YTD!
In 2014 Brittni was working as a Dog walker/Dog Lodge Employee. She was paid $9-12 an hour and would typically work over 40 hours a week. Sometimes she even had to work around the clock the entire day while she was pet sitting. Shortly after, she decided to leave those positions so that she could stay home and raise her children.
5 years later when her kids were old enough Brittni decided to look into re-entering the workforce. She came across the FFL opportunity on Indeed and thought it sounded too good to be true but still wanted to give it a try. She faced several obstacles along the way that she had to learn to overcome. Getting comfortable with investing into weekly lead purchases took some time, and she also had to learn to set up a disciplined schedule to bring structure into her daily routine. While it wasn’t easy Brittni enjoyed challenging herself to grow above those obstacles.
One of Brittni’s favorite aspects of working with FFL is the satisfaction she gets from knowing that she’s truly helping people. She also enjoys having the ability to share the FFL opportunity to others people to help them reach their own financial goals.
Brittni’s coachability and passion to serve those around her allowed her to create a successful career in spite of not having any prior insurance experience. Her training and testimony has helped many people, especially mothers who may be looking for new work opportunities. We know she will continue to be a source of inspiration and we’re excited to see what 2021 has in store for Brittni and FFL Strength.

Alex Strate

Alex recently qualified as an Executive Vice President with his agency FFL Fire issuing $587,142! Continue reading to learn more about his journey with FFL:

Q: What were you doing for work prior to getting started with FFL?
A: I sold my first policy on Jan. 10th 2019. Prior to that I was working as an insurance agency for a different company.

Q: Why did you decide to switch over to FFL?
A: I was living with Jordan L. at the time and struggling financially. My previous insurance company didn’t offer a lead program and the compensation was about half of what FFL has. It was a no-brainer for me to make the move.

Q: Did you start seeing results quickly since you already had some insurance experience?
A: No I was not the type of FFL agent that did well initially. It took me around 7 months before I was able to issue $20k. It was my own fault, I kept trying to do things my own way especially in regards to leads. Once I let my ego go and just followed the system is when I started to see positive results. I just made sure to never quit.

Q: What did your initial lead strategy look like and what is it now?
A: Initially, I was spending around $1500-2000 per month on leads in order to issue $8,000-$10,000. Now I’ll spend around $4,000 per month in order to issue $20,000-$25,000. When you put yourself in uncomfortable positions like that you’re forced to figure it out and rise above it.

Q:Did you start building an agency from the very beginning?
A: No and that is my biggest regret. I thought I needed to get to issuing 20k before I could start to hire. I tell all of my new agent now that they should leverage the stories of the many successful agents that we have here. There’s a learning curve so there’s no reason that you have to reach a certain level of success before sharing the opportunity.

Q: What’s your goal for 2021?
A: My goal is to get my agency to the 10 million agency hall of fame level. I know that in order to do that I’ll have to continue working on raising up the leaders that I have on my team.

Q: What’s your one piece of advice to an agent who’s struggling in that learning curve phase like you did?
A: I’d say to go to Youtube and look up the trainings for the 2 or 3 agents that you relate to. We have tons of amazing training online and if you can plug into around 3-4 hours of that per day your mentality will start to change.

Miranda Jett

Marinda is a new agent and just qualified as a sales manager for the first time! Continue reading to learn more about her time with FFL:

Q: What were you doing for work prior to getting started with FFL?
A: I was working at a different insurance company for close to five years. We mainly specialized in the final expense market.

Q: What made you want to look for a new company to get set up with?
A: There were a few different reasons. I wanted to be able to offer my clients more than just final expense because I had a lot of younger people clients asking for more coverage. We also had a very low compensation scale and no vesting day one.

Q: What has the learning curve been like for you since you already had some insurance experience?
A: The biggest thing for me was that I had to learn about new products like term insurance because I had never done them before. I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to learn them quickly enough to be able to help my clients. Thankfully, we have awesome training here so I was able to get up and running fairly quickly.

Q: What was the lead program like at your previous company compared to what we have here at FFL?
A: My other company generated their own in-house leads but they were very expensive. That combined with the overall low compensation made it difficult to make money. They also had something called a “household cap” where if you wrote a few policies in a home they wouldn’t pay you for every single policy. One time I wrote over $4,000 in a home but only got paid around $800 because of the household cap. So I’m definitely getting more bang for my buck here at FFL.

Q: What helped you get to Sales Manager and what is your hiring strategy?
A: I’ve just been trying to keep a positive mindset and encourage my new agents that are just starting. I’m posting my commissions on social media and have been finding a lot of people just through that.

Q: What is your goal for 2021?
A: My goal by the end of the year is to get my agency issuing $300,000 per month.

Joshua Mwanza

Joshua’s agency FFL Mapolo has already issued over $1.5 million YTD! Like many other FFL agents Joshua didn’t have any insurance experience prior to getting started but has still been able to find success. In 2002 Joshua was working as a residential and commercial mover in New York City. He would have to work over 60 hours per week to make around $1600 for the month. He didn’t really enjoy the position itself but he did enjoy meeting new people on a daily basis.
Years later in 2015 he finally decided that it was time to find a more lucrative field where he could build a career and grow. He found Family First Life and decided to to give it a shot. In the beginning Joshua struggled because he had to go through his own learning curve. He didn’t have a lot of money to invest into purchasing leads or the business in general. He also struggled a lot when he was trying to book appointments. It was so frustrating that he almost just quit. With time and practice he was able to learn what changes he needed to make and started to see his results improve.

Tobe Oraegbu

FFL would like to spotlight Tobe Oraegbu as our agent of the week! Tobe has been with FFL for only 4 months and has already issued $95,021! Continue reading to learn more about his start with FFL:

Q: What were you doing for work prior to getting started with FFL?
A: I was working in the insurance industry but at a different company.

Q: Why did you decide to switch over to FFL?
A: I wanted to build an agency and the system at my previous company didn’t enable a lot of people to win. The lead flow wasn’t good and the compensation would start at a low 35%. It got to the point where I just started to tell the agents that they should leave because I knew they weren’t making any money. I knew some people who had gone to FFL so I made the decision to give it a try.

Q: What did your early lead investments look like compared to what you spend now?
A: I was never scared to invest. It was a concept that I understood was necessary in order to be able to help people. I started out with purchasing around $500 worth of leads and now I’m up to spending around $2,000.

Q: What was the most difficult thing for you to overcome?
A: I think that because we have the most transparent training in the industry it really wasn’t that hard because everyone shares what they do. All I had to do was plug into the system to see how they handle the phones, in home presentations etc.

Q: What’s your goal for 2021?
A: My personal goal is to issue $600,000 -$800,000 and I’d like to see my agency issuing at least $500,000.

Q: What’s your one piece of advice to an agent who’s at a different company like you were and struggling with leaving?
A: I think the biggest dilemma that agents with other companies deal with is loyalty. They think they should be loyal to the company. My loyalty is to my family and myself. So, my advice would be to look at the numbers that FFL is putting out and make a logical decision based upon that.

Luke Bohac

Luke’s agency FFL Strength and Finance has issued over $3 million YTD and are on track to qualify for Board Member status very soon. Despite his success, Luke started out in an entirely different industry prior to finding FFL.
In 2014 Luke was working 75 + hours per week as a Sports Specific Speed, Power & Agility coach. He was paid by the various athletes that he trained and made around $80,000 per year. At that time he was also in the process of marrying his wife and blending their two families. Due to the increased responsibility of now having 7 children to care for Luke started to look for opportunities that could provide him with additional income.
In 2015 Luke came across Family First Life and started working as an agent. Initially, he struggled with treating the opportunity as just a hobby as opposed to a real business. He enjoyed training his athletes so much that he wasn’t putting in the required hours to really excel in the insurance industry. Eventually, he realized that he could utilize FFL as a vehicle to change the lives of those around him and the results started to come.
Aside from the personal financial success, Luke also enjoys seeing the many different types of people that are able to win at such a high level. The joy that he gets from being a source of hope and encouragement to agents has grown stronger than even the joy he got from training his athletes. We know that he’ll continue to help the agents he meets reach their goals and we can’t wait to see what goals he and his team hit in 2021.

Matthew Edland

Matthew has been with FFL for less than 3 months as of 4/28/2021 and is already issuing over $20k! Continue reading to learn more about his quick start with FFL:

Q: What were you doing for work prior to getting started with FFL?
A: I had worked in a lot of different sales positions since the age of 16. My last job before getting started with FFL was working as a garage floor salesman. I had tried so many different jobs that I considered myself a “serial quitter”.

Q: How did you get introduced to FFL?
A: I was introduced to the opportunity by my friend Andre. He showed me the business model and I was immediately sold. Initially I was just going to start it on a part time basis but my company found out what I was doing and decided to fire me. They wanted me to only be committed to them. I told Andre and he laughed! He told me that now there was nothing holding me back because it was “do or die”. I realized he was right and everything happens in God’s timing.

Q: How did it feel to have to go all in when you were relying on that income?
A: I felt a mixture of feelings. It wasn’t my initial plan but I tend to work my best when my back is up against the wall, that’s something I’ve had to do my entire life.

Q: Was it difficult for you to invest into leads initially?
A: I grew up in a very entrepreneurial household so I learned the concept of needing money to make money at a young age. My first lead purchase cost $1,000 which was a little scary since that was all the money that I had but I understood the importance of it.

Q:Did you make all your money back off of that first investment?
A: No it actually took me a few weeks to really get the hang of everything. I had the work ethic but I had to go through some mentality shifts in order to connect more with the client. I was so focused on getting a sale for money because that was the culture of my past positions but that doesn’t work here. When I changed that was when the results started to come.

Q:What kept you pushing forward even though you weren’t making any money during that period of time?
A: I had the luxury of getting to see one of my friends who started around the same time as me have success very quickly. Seeing him make money while I was struggling told me that it had to be something that I was doing wrong because the system was working for others. I knew that if I just kept going it would eventually work out.

Q: What’s your goal for 2021?
A: My personal goal is to qualify for the Hall of Fame. In regards to my agency, I’d like to have at least one other agent qualifying for the Hall of Fame as well.

Q: What’s your one piece of advice to an agent who’s struggling during the learning curve phase?
A: I would say to push harder. I realized that whenever I thought that I was at my lowest was when something good would happen. Usually when you’re at that point you’re so close to having a breakthrough so just keep going and push harder.

Zach Babiarz

Zach started with us in January 2021 and has been a consistent 20k producer! Continue reading to learn more about his journey with FFL:

Q: When did you start working with FFL?
A: I started in January of 2021.

Q: What were you doing for work prior to finding FFL?
A: I had worked in a few different MLM type of organizations as well as sales but I had never tried insurance before FFL.

Q: How did you come across FFL?
A: Initially I always thought that insurance was a boring industry, but then I started to see close friends of mine doing well here. The more I learned about the FFL business model the more interested I became in wanting to give it a try.

Q: Did you have immediate success your first few weeks or did you still go through a learning curve?
A: I would say that I had an overall shorter learning curve because of my past experience. But there was still a lot that I had to learn so I worked on putting myself in a lot of different situations so I picked it up fairly quickly.

Q: What was your lead cost like initially and was it hard for you to invest in leads?
A: I was investing around $1200 when I started. It was a little intimidating at first because I didn’t have a lot of cash flow to rely on, but I believed in the system and the results that it could bring so I just kept reinvesting.

Q: Are you building an agency and if so, how have you been balancing it with your own production?
A: I am building an agency and currently have some people in class to get their license. I’m still learning to calibrate my schedule day by day in regards to balancing it with my own production. When I’m not sitting in front of a client or dialing the phone is typically when I reach out to new recruits and agents in class.

Q: What is your goal for 2021?
A: I would like to be able to pay off my debt and put a down payment down on a new home. In order to do that I’d like to issue around $300,000. In regards to my agency, I’d like us to be issuing $500,000 by the end of the year.
